Time Management is to utilise our time efficiently and proactively in order to accomplish our goals.

Time management is important in our everyday life and professional career as well. It teaches us how to manage and use our time effectively and smartly to gain a better output.

Here are a few of the reasons why time management is so important and how it can help us use and manage our time more efficiently.

    1. Time is a special resource that cannot be stored or saved to use it later. Everyone has 24 hours each day. It depends on how well it is used.

    2. Wise time management can help us gain the time for what we desire and to know what we need to do.

    3. Select the right time for the right work to achieve more.

    4. Always plan your time well and don’t waste it on useless matters.

    5. Time management helps us to choose conscious choices, so we can spend more of our time doing things that are important and valuable to us.

By following the points above it is easy to see the effects of time management. Good time management allows us to accomplish more in a shorter period of time which leads to more free time, lets us take advantage of learning opportunities, lowers our stress and helps us focus, which leads to more career success. Each benefit of time management improves another aspect of our life. All we have to do is to start focusing on Time Management.

Sometimes it seems that there is not enough time to do a lot of things that you want to. This might lead you to a build up of stress. When revising for examinations, or during your final year when you have to combine the pressures of intensive study with finding time to apply for jobs good management of your time can be particularly important. to overcome these type of issues certain things that we should consider, for example: setting clear goals, breaking your goals down into discreet steps & reviewing your progress towards your selected goals.

Time management is to organise yourself, not to schedule lots of things which cannot be completed on time, effective time management is to schedule enough work which can be completed on time and effectively. Sometimes what we do we take extra which create stress and due to that stress work is destroyed. First set goal then work step wise to maintain a good time management.

It’s necessary that you build effective strategies for managing your time to balance the conflicting demands of time for study, leisure, earning money and job hunting. Time management skills are valuable in job hunting, but also in many other aspects of life: from revising for examinations to working in a vacation job.

Sometimes it may seem that there isn’t enough time to do everything that you need to. This can lead to a build up of stress. When repeating for examinations, or during your final year when you have to combine the pressures of intensive study with finding time to apply for jobs good management of your time can be particularly necessary. Once we have notified ways in which we can improve the management of our time, we can begin to adjust our schedules and patterns of behaviour to reduce any time-related stress in our lives.

Step #1 – Set Clear Goals

If you engage in passive goal setting, then you’re less likely to have a good handle on your time management. This can lead to severe frustration, because deep down in your subconscious mind you might know what you want, but you haven’t organized those desires into clear goals. It hasn’t become visceral for you.

    Step #2 – Get Organized

Once you’ve set your goals, you have to organize them. What are your long-term goals? What are your short-term goals? Break your long-term goals down into milestones so that you have a target you’re aiming at each month, week, and day. When you know what you want to accomplish one year from now, you can easily break that down into monthly, weekly, and daily targets.

    Step #4 – Destroy Procrastination

This system splits up activities into four quadrants based upon two factors: urgency and importance.

So, in your day, a task can be categorized by these two factors.
f you watched television for 3 hours, then you lived in the dismal Quadrant 4 that day. You want to spend as little time with Quadrant 4 activities as you can if you want to effectively manage your time. Sometimes we can’t see just how much time we’re wasting unless we look at it in this manner.

    Step #3 – Prioritizing Time
Set a timer on your watch, smartphone, or anywhere else, and set to doing something you’ve been putting off for just 15 minutes. That’s all you need to commit to: 15 minutes. What you’ll come to realize is that an object in motion stays in motion; once you get started, you’ll most likely keep going. The hardest part is simply getting started!
